February Foursome!

January 13th, 2008 by Celia

Woot!

Okay, I’m not really releasing a foursome in February.  That’s not actually until April sometime…

The foursome in February is FOUR books released by moi!

Here’s the current schedule for those of you that, ya know, dig my stuff:

Del Fantasma: Silk Panties - 2/1/08 (It’s not just a yummy drink or article of clothing anymore… It’s also a book!)  Aspen Mountain Press

Rookery Cove: Nipped - 2/15/08 (Nip me baby, grrrrrrrrr)  Changeling Press

Love Defined - 2/22/08 (Love, how do I define thee, let me count the ways…) Cobblestone Press

Are We There Yeti? - Sometime in February (Did you get enough of Sela and Yosi?  No?  Good, cause they’re back!)  Changeling Press

Whew!  Four releases!  Well, here’s most of my 2008 goal.  Woot!  I’m working on the follow up to Silk Panties titled Tie Me to the Bedpost now.  With luck, it’s only another week or so from being subbed.  Promise this time, Nik!!!

Two Reviews for Yeti! Were?

January 9th, 2008 by Celia

Okay, normally I don’t bludgeon ya’ll with reviews and whatnot, b/c I don’t usually get many.  *gasp*  Shocking, I know.  Ya see, reviewers can actually pick from bunches of books to review and from my previous life as a reviewer, I know that you don’t usually pick unknown authors.  So!  Two kickin’ peeps reviewed Yeti! Were?

First is Amy Wynn from ecataromance:

Sela is thrown into a meat locker by a jerk she rejected. But what would be a problem for a human is no problem for a werewolf. However, she does have a problem, well, a couple of problems. First, the moon is rising, so Sela either has to shift or have sex to stay human. This wouldn’t be an issue, except for the second problem. She’s locked in the freezer with someone who is more likely to kill her than screw her. A gorgeous giant, compelled by the cold, is shifting into a yeti and is very horny.

Yosi has hit the jackpot, no thanks to the sneaky wolf that locked him in the freezer. The cinnamon skin BBW that shares the locker with him is game for a little slap and tickle - well, not little, he is a yeti after all. So what will happen once the sun rises and the hormones are back under control?

Sela is a hoot. She faces each knock life gives her with a wise-cracking retort and she had me rolling as she dealt with Yosi when he was reduced to monosyllabic responses. Yosi lives up to his reputation as a yeti - focused and tenacious, and all of that is for Sela, if she can handle it. If you are looking for some fun in the sun, I mean locker, then pick up Yeti! Were?

Written by Amy Wynn - Visit Website

Dude!  She liked it!

Second is from Miss Dawn Montgomery, author extraordinaire:

There are very few books in the publishing world that really makes me want to run out and buy it based on a blurb. Then I read this on the coming soon page of Changeling Press:

On the night of the midnight moon, Sela finds herself locked in an industrial freezer, put there by none other than her alpha’s half-crazed brother. Content to spend her weekend as a wolf for her duration at the frozen prison, she doesn’t expect the whack job to thrust someone else in there with her. Now, faced with the choice of shifting and tearing into the yummy man’s hide or simply fucking through the lust frenzy that accompanies the midnight moon, Sela doesn’t know what to do. Decisions, decisions…

Yosi should have kept driving right through the town. He definitely shouldn’t have stopped for dinner at The Den. When the weaselly wolf, Ron, approached him, he told the man exactly what he thought of him. Which landed him in a nice stay at the local meat plant and a cozy room in their freezer. Not a good place for a yeti to be. Drastic changes in temperature from hot to cold make Yosi feral, and horny…

I started giggling like a schoolgirl immediately. This was going to be FUNNY. Celia Kyle is a really great lady and one of the most loyal and helpful individuals in this industry. She’s also a hilarious storyteller.

So without further ado, here’s my review of Yeti! Were?

Celia has developed a hilarious jaunt into a world where Weres and Yetis exist in a precarious balance. The wolves are raised on horror stories of Yeti violence and the Yeti consider wolves to be trouble. From the beginning I adored Sela. Strong willed, flawed, and irritated with pack mentality. She’s fluffy and adorable. Yosi, the Yeti, is fierce and loyal. With the Werewolf and the Yeti locked in a freezer, things get hot, fast. Celia brings the heat and I’m not afraid to say, this is my favorite title of hers, yet! If you’re in the mood for a hot read on a cold day, Yeti! Were? is not to be missed!

Come on, you know what’s coming, sing it with me….  Bow, chicka, bow bow…..  Ooooooh yeah.  Yay!  I’m sooo excited!  (<-Not in a valley girl kind of way)  Okay, that’s all I got for today.  These two kickin’ reviews popped up and I wanted to share.  :D

And She Missess! Kyllleeeee!!!!

January 7th, 2008 by Celia

Ugh.  I did not get any writing done.  Not. One. Word.  Actually, I take that back.  I did manage to write about 1k which was Chapter Five of Dead by Dawn.  But other than that hastily scribbled chapter, I didn’t write a bit last week.  Not even over the weekend.  Grrr…

Instead, I installed four wordpress websites I designed.  Check ‘em out:

www.vonnaharper.com
www.sheliago.powweb.com (Temp site, to be moved to her regular site today)
www.jannaleehayes.com
www.essencefantasies.info

Whew!  Miss Vonna’s was by far the hardest.  I don’t know where the woman finds the time to write so much!  Wow!

Oh!  I also did my good friend (and future writing partner) Shara’s site.  She’s still got some futzing to do with content, but it’s live!  www.shara-cooper.com  Ain’t it purty?

Hmmm….  Other news….  The winners of the Blast in the New scavenger hunt will be posted/emailed today.  Woo Hoo!  I’ve got another hunt planned for June.  I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll get a good turnout of authors and readers.  This time around we had 1500 entries.  Wow!  Again!

Anyway, wish me luck on getting some writing done this week.  Its become a have to thang.

It’s a GOAL! Beckhammmmmm!!!!

January 3rd, 2008 by Celia

*snort*  That’s a bit of insider humor with Mr. Kyle.  He likes to play his soccer x-box game while I write and generally keeps the TV low, but the only things I truly do hear from the room are:  It’s a GOAL!!!!  and then:  Beckham!!!!!!!

LOL  Okay, so it doesn’t take much to amuse me, but when I thought about writing a “Goals for 2008″ post, I immediately thought of hubby playing the xbox.  :D

On to my goals for this year:

-Publish no less than eight works.  I mean, that will give me like four whole months off, right?

I’ve gotten started on this one already with today’s release, Yeti! Were?, from Changeling Press.  I’ve also got the following in the can and ready to roll:

Rookery Cove: Nipped from Changeling Press (Feb 2008)
Del Fantasma: Silk Panties from Aspen Mountain Press (Feb 2008)
Love Defined from Cobblestone Press (No clue as to release date)
Battered Not Broken from Liquid Silver Books (April 2008, maybe?)

I’ve also got two unsatisfied contracts from Changeling that I’ll be completing over the next few months:

Big, Blooming & Wild: Man-Grove (not started)
Madam Periwinkle’s Erotic Delights: Toys for Trish (not started)

Then there’s the uncontracted, but planned for a pub works:

Going Down? Anthology: What Goes Up (Half done)
Del Fantasma: Tie Me to the Bedpost for Aspen Mountain Press (Half *okay* quarter done)

Whew!

-Start my historical novel: The Devil’s Mark.  I’ve got this kinda cool historical idea that I’ve been tossing around.  You see, my heart is in historicals.  I lurv them.  Most notably, I love Julie Garwood.  Her quick pace and heroines who aren’t afraid of anything.  *sigh*  My idea is to combine my quirky, curvy ladies with a bit of history and some majorly hot boiking.  At the moment, it’s set in the medieval ages.

-Start (and possibly finish) my were story with a writing partner.  See, I’ve got this idea and since novels are daunting, I’m thinking that maybe it would be best to start this frist one with a partner.  Of course, I’ve got to find a partner first.  Not that I’ve been looking hard.  LOL  The problem:  I write by the seat of my pants which I’m not sure if that will bode well for partnered writing.  Yeah, I’m difficult.  *snort*

Well?  What are your goals?  If you don’t want to post all of them in the comments, at least give me a link so I can go read them for myself.  Gotta see how I measure up and all that.  ;)

Blah! OR I need to get to writing

January 2nd, 2008 by Celia

So, December… Ah, I had plans for December.  I was going to finish Tie Me to the Bedpost AND my shortie for the Going Down? Anthology.  Alas, I did neither.  I did, however, manage to write the first three chapters of Fiery Ember and submit those to Resplendence Publishing for consideration.  Now, those of you authors that are fussing at me for submitting something that wasn’t finished… hush.  They knew it wasn’t done.  I sent a query first and they asked for the first three when they were done.  Hopefully, by the time they get around to reading the first three, I’ll have the rest done.

My goal this week?  Write one chapter per night between now and Sunday.  That’s 10k between now and then.  It’s doable.  With luck, I’ll finish one of the three stories and then some.  *sigh*  THEN I’m going to start work on Man-grove, my next BBW alien shifter story for Changeling.  Now, that is one story I can’t wait to write.  It also just might have a sequel or two bouncing around in this head of mine.  ;)

Howdy Partner?

December 18th, 2007 by Celia

So, I’ve got this idea….  It’s a yummy idea, really.  With werewolves and claimings and kidnappings… oh my!  The thing is, I’m wondering if maybe having a writing partner for this one might be a good idea.  You see, I anticipate this baby being novel length.  I’ve never done novel length and I’m sceart.  Weird, right?  I’ve been doing lots of short stuff, but I’m thinking that maybe holding hands with a writing partner on this one might be a good idea.  It means I’ll only have to write half of the 60k, which is my normal length anyway.  Hmm….

So, any readers out there that are writers and lurv BBW heroines and werewolves?  How about it?  ;)

Your first qualification is that your name must sound good with mine!  Or, we can come up with a new one!  LOL

Double Fisting December!

December 17th, 2007 by Celia

Yep, I’m pulling double this month.  I’ve got two short stories that I’m determined to finish before 1/1/08.  One is What Goes Up, a contemporary domme-ish elevator shag story and the other is the follow up to Silk Panties titled Tie Me to the Bedpost.  Both are uber hawt for their own reasons.  Like, smokin.  What Goes Up is planned for an entire anthology of ‘vator stories.  And we’ve got some kick azz authors involved, let me tell ya.  No pub as of yet, but I believe queries are going out soon.  Yay!

Tie Me to the Bedpost…  Ah….  A m/m/f menage with a boy butt virgin.  *sigh*  I’m just getting to the buttsecks, but I’ve placed the story aside until I can spend hours focused on the buttsecks.  No rushing and incomplete descriptions, no sirree….

Otherwise, my life is tame this holiday season.  I’ve got one book due out on the first of the new year, but otherwise, my life is plodding along.  Mr. Celia just purchased the Playstation 3 game system.  The only benefit I see in the darned thing is the opportunity to watch porn in high definition.  Damn, I’m twisted…

Speaking of porn…  www.youporn.com  The Youtube of porn!!!  It’s free and did I mention… PORN!  ahem  It’s for research you see…

New Release! Office of Kink and Karma: Love Me

December 6th, 2007 by Celia

First, I have to set the stage:  Picture, if you will, Jack Black from Saving Silverman when he’s all ramped up about saving his friend…  “Coming at Yeeeeeeeeeee-Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!”

Woot!  I’ve been dying to do that and Mr. Kyle just does not think it is cool for me to scream that around the house.

On to my topic of the day.  Love Me is out!  Like, right now!  Better yet, Changeling Press gave me my own 5% off coupon code.  Use Kink07 (<-That’s zero seven) to purchase your copy of Love Me or any of my Kink and Karma books and be entered to win a copy of my first release from 2008, Yeti! Were?

Buy It or Read an Excerpt Here!

Done! Rookery Cove: Nipped

December 3rd, 2007 by Celia

Bow, chicka, bow, bow……  It is done!  I put the finishing touches on Nipped last night and shipped it off to my editor.  At just around 19k, this is one hotness packed read.  Seriously.  There’s blow jobs, butt secks and a threesome.  Yum!  Now I just have to come up with a blurb and an idea for the cover and I’ll be all set.  :D

I Should Stop

November 27th, 2007 by Celia

I really should stop emailing people.  Like, seriously.  I sent an email to M (Changeling Power That Be) about an idea for a series of Hot Flashes, yada, yada.  She said thanks, but we’ve got some plans in the works, but go ahead with the idea for yourself if you want!  <-Note the exclamation point.

And then, “Shoot for over 8k and you’ll get a regular pub slot…”  <- Note the teasing ellipse.

So, what have I now added to my already full plate?  A new shortie titled Clover.  *sigh*  It just wouldn’t go away and he’s just so cute.

Chrissie, if you’re reading this, the proposal is on its way.  It’s all M’s fault.

Sequels

November 26th, 2007 by Celia

Okay, so I have one series: Office of Kink and Karma.  I dig it.  The series doesn’t have a recurring character beyond Eric and the secondaries getting their own books.

How do ya’ll (readers/writers/whomever) feel about sequels involving the same characters?  I’m thinking, super duper hard, on making the second book in Jaguar Pride about Paige and Vincent again.  This one would be titled To Have and To Shift and would pick up where Wicked Shift left off.  Maybe more exploration of Stephen and Lukas’s relationship while seeing how Paige and Vincent fair in the were world.

What say you?

Sometimes it takes others…

November 25th, 2007 by Celia

To see what I’m missing.

I’ve been in a funk over my current WIP.  Nipped is going along and for some reason I’ve had trouble writing the darned story.  I packaged it up and shipped it off to Dawn Montgomery for a quick read since we were chatting about other things.  One of my comments was “I think the last chapter may be a bit mundane.  Not sure if there’s enough going on.”  Yada yada.

Dawn read the few chapters I had finished and her response was “You threw her in the ocean!”  Yeah, I threw my obsessively clean, neat-freak character in the ocean.  That is pretty funny.  *snort*

Then I realized that maybe it takes someone elses opinion to make a writer see that what they’ve got, really is good.  :D

Not so good…

November 14th, 2007 by Celia

I had high hopes, but it hasn’t happened yet.  I’m still where I was last Sunday on Nipped.  *sigh*  Here’s hoping I get it done this coming weekend…
