Once in a lifetime thing going on here folks. Yup, this installment of AiS is not about Me, but about NKOTB.
I’m about to date myself, but when New Kids on the Block came out, I was very nearly their number one fan. I would have been their number one fan had my mother found the NKOTB fabric at Wal-Mart and made me the curtains I asked for, but whatever.
So, NKOTB has decided to try and make a comeback. Um, who told them this was a good idea? I mean, seriously? Dudes, you’re old. I mean, I’m old so I know you sure as hell are. Leave the teeny boppin’ to the teeny boppers and move on. You no longer have the pre-adolescent high pitched voices you once had and instead of looking cool as you pop and lock on the stage, you look like my dad trying to bust the robot. N.O.
Don’t believe me? Think it can’t be that bad? Let me assure you… it is.
I rest my case.

Announcing an open call for submissions for a new anthology.
Ghosts, Witches and Ghouls, Oh My!
Haunt us with spooky tales of sexy love all centered on Halloween.
Submissions are open to all authors, currently published with Liquid Silver Books and those wishing to be published with Liquid Silver Books. All works must be new material, previously published works will not be considered. Three novellas will be accepted for this anthology.
Submission length is minimum 15,000 words up to 30,000 words. Any genre will be accepted, as long as Halloween is the background for the story. Please see our submission guidelines for what we’re looking for in a Liquid heat level story.

I discovered a new social networking site, quite by accident, when perusing a couple of sex blogs. (Yes, blogs about sex. *gasp*) Anyway, I looked at the front page, cocked my head to the side and squinted my eyes at it, then straightened, brow furrowed and continued to stare. Huh. They have a social networking site. Very cool, my mind said. Very cool, indeed. I snagged the link and ran off to share with my author friends…
Now, we are all poking it with a stick as we decide who will be the first to jump into fetlife. (www.fetlife.com) I know that there are several blogs I read whose masters/mistresses hop on over there so I’m curious if they read my blog and want to comment on the site. Wendy? Avah? Jefferson? (though he is in the middle of moving)
So, I guess until we hear from an actual member that the bdsm authors won’t get flogged for having book writing as a fetish, we’ll all continue poking the site with our imaginary sticks.

So, how’d your Mother’s Day go? I’m a mom, sorta. I have three balls of fur that I call my own. This, of course, does not include Mr. Kyle though he did purchase a card on the cat’s behalf. Yup, I woke up to a beautiful card, directly from the kitties. He’s such a sap, but I lurve him. *sigh*
I spent the weekend writing and reading. Reading was the best part. You see, I’m working on an anthology with Mima and Darragha Foster and I figured I should read what my fellow authors had penned recently. I started with Mima…
O. M. G. Her Within series is beyond words. I’ve read the first three books in the series and I can’t wait to get home and buy the fourth so I can read it too. I’ve already emailed her gushing madly about my love of the series and threatening bodily harm if she doesn’t give me more. *sigh* Love shifters? Love possessive men who are VERY growling and hot sexin? This series is like a drug to a shifter loving reader. Not. Enough. Ever.
Check out her books HERE
Now, back to the EDJ with me. Have a good MmmmMonday!

This is not a test. Had this been a test, you wouldn’t be waiting patiently (or not) for this fantabulous review I just received. Normally, I don’t scream from the rooftops about reviews, but this one just rocked my sox a little too hard. Or maybe, just hard enough.
From: http://www.bfdblog.com/2008/05/06/erotic-book-review
This site is a FA (fat activism/body positive) blog I found about a month ago and fell in love. Fluffy chicks who are proud! Woot! That is MY place to BE! I started chatting with Mo Pie and she asked for permission to offer up one of my books for review to her readers. I was all “hells yeah!”
And here are a few snippets of the review that has me partying like it’s 1999:
Readers might find the relationship arc both gratifying and recognizable as Ginny initially shys away from Mattias in embarrassment about unshaven legs and in doubt that he’d be interested in a body like her own: a fat body. While insistent on being loved as she is (on revealing her naked body to her lover, she says, “This is me. Get a good look. I won’t have you telling me to lose thirty pounds in two months. . .”), she had struggled with fear about how the man of her dreams will respond to her body. Any reader who’s wondered something similar will know how gratifying it is when he responds with a full panoply of erotic moves and a resounding assurance that her body, exactly as it is, is exactly what he wants. The romance is sweet and human, and Ginny’s quirks as well as her doubts serve to make it real.
AND
If you’re looking for some good, clean fun – stay away from the erotic shelves. If you’re looking for some good, sexy fun involving a delightful fat woman and a man who both loves her and aims to please, this is a great choice.
The reviewer also mentioned that my fluffy lovin’ needs a bit of work and Mr. Kyle has already offered his services.

Wanna be naughty when there’s absolutely no reason to be nice? Then join the eCata delurking party this Thursday.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CataNetwork-Readers/
Post and play and be entered eligible for prizes. We’ve got over 200 books up for winning by you, dear readers. Here’s the “official” press release, but you know it’ll be so much kinkier and laugh filled than they let on. After all, I’ll be there!
Hellooooo Delurkers!!!
The countdown started today and next week we’ll have some great times for the online record books!
Just a few things to point out. The main idea of the delurking event is to draw out those who haven’t been active on Cata’s loop for awhile. With that in mind, I’d like to ask some of you to keep that in mind when running some of your contests. Here are some examples and ideas of how to draw out some lurkers! :))
1. Ask someone to post a reply to your contest message if they are new to the group but haven’t posted before and invite them to enter your contest by posting now.
2. Draw out members from 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and ask them to hit reply or email you after they’ve posted
3. Ask members to email you if it’s been two months-two years-etc. since they’ve posted to Cata but have the member first post at CATA and give an update about their life since the last time they posted
4. Run a contest and ask some of the original members to post how things have changed since the early days of erotic romance…
5. Ask members to reply to your contest and tell us when they posted last—the winner of the contest will be the person who posted most recently or the one who you brought out of lurking after being away for the longest time
Our goal for a lot of the contests will be to draw out lurkers while making the current members feel very valued and appreciated for their continued support of Cata’s board.
We are all guests of CATA so I do want to remind that CATA is a review site. If you have a review from CATA, feel free to post it but for the most part, I thought we’d try to steer away from posting reviews for other sites on May 8th.
Be sure to include your links when you post and remember your titles!!! Also, I still need to find some mainstream/YA authors to join us. If you know of anyone, please ask them to email me as soon as possible.
If you write under more than one name, come on out and email me the information for both names and we’ll promote both of these as well.
ALSO—and this is important. I’m sending out a few emails— to past active members of CATA to come on out for a guaranteed prize. If you see these pop out with GUARANTEED PRIZE WINNER or something similar, I ask that someone quickly claim that reader and post to them what they’ve won. I’ll pick up a good portion of these if no one wants to do it but these are easy contest winners for you to pick up too so feel free to claim them. Basically, I sent out and will send out emails to past CATA members who were active participants in hopes of drawing them out to chat at the delurking party!
Thanks for joining in. More on the way. Let me know if you have questions!
Destiny
Tres easy, no? So, pop by and get it on with me. I’ll be in and out all day, pokin’ and playin’. :D
