Options. Everybody has them. Take Sela, for example. Locked in the meat plant freezer by her Alpha’s crazy brother, her initial option is to shape shift and spend the night in her wolf form, insulated by her fur and with plenty of raw meat to gnaw on. But when said crazy adds a Yeti to her cell she decides instead to opt for more carnal pursuits – and Yosi, the Yeti, is all too willing to participate! When morning comes, will they choose to part ways?

Yeti! Were? is thoroughly deserving of a 5 Star rating, for this short novella held my interest so completely that I never once lost my focus or involvement in the plot. The title is highly unusual and at first, I was unable to think how it was chosen. But fairly quickly into my reading it suddenly made perfect sense! There are two types of shape shifters in the story: the wolf (were) and the Yeti. The differences between them are very clear and help to make for a wonderful story. Our two main characters are well developed and each has a role in the telling of the tale. Both characters are very likeable and quite appealing, even Yosi when he is in his primitive state (talk about Neanderthal!). His basic self instantly recognizes Sela as intrinsically his and he is all too willing to claim her. The plot is unfailingly well-paced and events are wonderfully composed, making for a thoroughly enjoyable story that keeps the readers interest effortlessly and definitely makes me want more tales from this world. The sex, too, is wonderfully described, detailed though not overly graphic. Some oral, a little anal play. Please be aware that Yeti is in his primitive form during mating, but there isn’t anything disturbing about this form. He simply gains in size (mmmm, want to talk about muscles?) and spouts a lot of white hair. Yeti! Were? is a fabulous story, one I wholeheartedly recommend! If you are a shifter fan, you truly cannot go wrong!

And for those of you who LURVED Yosi and Sela, not only is Are We There, Yeti? coming out in February… But Yeti! Again? will quite possibly be out in March if my muse cooperates and my editor can get through it.
