Me!
I forgot… Again. If you haven’t picked up Office of Kink and Karma: Touch Me yet, why don’t you stop by The Romance Studio’s book-a-day giveaway? Touch Me is on the block and as past winner’s can attest, I usually giveaway more than one copy.

A warm palm came to rest at the back of my neck for a moment before he slid his fingers down my spine. Those work-rough fingertips left goosebumps in their wake as the callused skin skimmed my back. I tried to supress my shiver of excitement, but failed. I didn’t want him to see my reaction to him. Knowledge is power and that was knowledge I didn’t want him to have.
“Too bad, sugar.” He whispered against my ear. I loved that he could read my mind. I’d given him permission before our meeting to delve into the depths of my thoughts.
I hadn’t taken my eyes from the mirror behind the bar. It had granted me the ability to view my surroundings without craning my neck, but now, even though I felt his touch and reveled in his hot breath fanning my neck… it revealed nothing.
My lover for the evening, the man caressing the crease at the top of my ass and nipping my neck with infinite care… he didn’t cast a reflection.

I really should stop emailing people. Like, seriously. I sent an email to M (Changeling Power That Be) about an idea for a series of Hot Flashes, yada, yada. She said thanks, but we’ve got some plans in the works, but go ahead with the idea for yourself if you want! <-Note the exclamation point.
And then, “Shoot for over 8k and you’ll get a regular pub slot…” <- Note the teasing ellipse.
So, what have I now added to my already full plate? A new shortie titled Clover. *sigh* It just wouldn’t go away and he’s just so cute.
Chrissie, if you’re reading this, the proposal is on its way. It’s all M’s fault.

Okay, so I have one series: Office of Kink and Karma. I dig it. The series doesn’t have a recurring character beyond Eric and the secondaries getting their own books.
How do ya’ll (readers/writers/whomever) feel about sequels involving the same characters? I’m thinking, super duper hard, on making the second book in Jaguar Pride about Paige and Vincent again. This one would be titled To Have and To Shift and would pick up where Wicked Shift left off. Maybe more exploration of Stephen and Lukas’s relationship while seeing how Paige and Vincent fair in the were world.
What say you?

To see what I’m missing.
I’ve been in a funk over my current WIP. Nipped is going along and for some reason I’ve had trouble writing the darned story. I packaged it up and shipped it off to Dawn Montgomery for a quick read since we were chatting about other things. One of my comments was “I think the last chapter may be a bit mundane. Not sure if there’s enough going on.” Yada yada.
Dawn read the few chapters I had finished and her response was “You threw her in the ocean!” Yeah, I threw my obsessively clean, neat-freak character in the ocean. That is pretty funny. *snort*
Then I realized that maybe it takes someone elses opinion to make a writer see that what they’ve got, really is good.

She’s there. Just like I told her to be. From the four inch heels to the skin tight teal satin dress, she looks exactly as I imagined. She had hesitated at my order. I remember the discussion clearly. She felt her curves, those luscious curves I can’t wait to trace with my tongue, were too abundant to wear such a tight fitting dress. I instructed her otherwise.
And there she sits.
Watching.
Waiting.
Wondering.
Hoping.
Praying.
She’d expressed her concern over becoming another statistic. Meeting a man in a strange place… But she still came, as I soon would.
Just being in this place makes my cock hard. Not because of the less-than-stellar décor, but because of what I’m here to do… to her. I adjust my dick, hard and aching against my leg. It lengthens further beneath my palm and I know I’m going to embarrass myself as I walk across the room. Then again, why should I be embarrassed?
I’m meeting a gorgeous woman who is dying to get her hands on me and before the night is through… she’ll be dying. Period.

In honor of today’s national holiday, I thought I’d share my recipe for THE perfect ham. I’m a big ham lover and not so much with the turkey, so you’ll have to settle for my ham recipe. Maybe The Mom will stop by and comment on what the best turkey recipe is a little later.
Perfect Holiday Ham
1. Go to Honey Baked Ham Co.
2. Purchase Ham
3. Eat Ham.
See how easy that was? Now you know how to make THE perfect Holiday Ham! Don’t tell me I never shared my trade secrets with ya.

Yay! I found two reviews the other day! Woot!
Office of Kink and Karma: Touch Me
4 Red (Scorching) Tattoos from Megan @ Erotic-Escapades.com

In a world where racial prejudice goes beyond color or creed and becomes more about what you can or can’t do with your
mind. The ability of one man to work around social boundaries to bring soul mates together is an extraordinary ability.
That makes Touch Me, the first book in The Office of Kink and Karma series, a special book that will motivate us to judge each person on their own merits. Josh is incredibly strong psychically, and his unwillingness to compromise his feelings for Emily make him extremely loveable. Emily is a strong woman ready to go to bat for those who can’t or won’t stand up for themselves, making her an inspiration to others. With every touch ratcheting up Emily’s libido, the heat between the pair is scorching even if the action is practically in slow motion at times.
With such an excellent start I can’t wait to see what Ms. Kyle comes up with next in The Office of Kink and Karma series.
Office of Kink and Karma: Tri Me
4 Red (Scorching) Tattoos from Megan @ Erotic-Escapades.com

Ms. Kyle has done an excellent job of creating believable characters and a fabulously exciting world for them to reside
in. While Lara is a strong woman she is not perfect and it is these imperfections that make her loveable. Theo is hot,
sweet and sexy, ensuring you just want to wrap him up in a big hug and smother him with kisses. Theo’s emotional depth
surprisingly makes him a real stabilizing influence within the story. Due to Jackson’s wolfish nature he often reverts to
monosyllabic sentences, which rather than making it harder to know him allows the reader a deep look into the need his
wolf forces upon him. When the lovers come together the sensuality level is hot, while not searing but the missing heat can be easily forgiven and forgotten in the face of the excellent storyline. The emotional depth of Tri Me will ensure that you keep an eye out for Ms. Kyle’s next exciting adventure in The Office of Kink and Karma series.
While it appears you could read each of these stories individually for full enjoyment you should start this series with book one Touch Me.

Isis Lusty Sizzle
“Is it going to hurt?” He whimpered.
“Not too badly. Besides, I’ll kiss it and make it better.”
That wasn’t all she’d be kissing, but he’d never sit still through the procedure if she told him.
Isis fired up the Thermal Cautery Unit placed the mask over her mouth. Minutes later, she placed the finishing touches on her artwork. Three perfect letters forever branded on her boy’s hip.
She pressed delicate kisses on his new mark. Focusing her attention on her favorite part of his body, she licked a path from root to tip.
He groaned aloud.
“Did that hurt?”

So, I went to the grocery store this morning… With a list of all things. I know, right? Me! With a list!
As I travel up and down every isle, starting at the far right of the store and strolling along until I had reached the far left as it should be. I shopped for all of the items I would need for Thanksgiving. Of course, everything comes in a box because I can’t cook anything from scratch to save my life. Except maybe my fave desert… Hello Dollies.
Hello Dollies are the epitome of desert perfection with graham cracker crumbs, coconut, walnuts, chocolate chips, and sweetened condensed milk. Notice how most of this stuff comes in a bag or box? Yeah, I’m cool like that.
My discovery today, however, relates to the graham cracker crumbs. For years I have been making this desert and for years I have purchased a box of graham crackers. Upon returning home I would place ten or so graham crackers in a gallon size ziploc bag and proceed to beat the hell out of the bag with a rolling pin. How else was I supposed to get graham cracker crumbs?
This year, I answered that question. You can BUY a box of crumbs! Seriously! I think I’ve died and gone to graham cracker crumb heaven….
Hello Dollies
1C Graham Cracker Crumbs <-You can buy a box! Woot!
1/2 stick Butter, melted
1-1 1/2 C Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
1C Chopped Walnuts
1C Shredded Sweetened Coconut
1 Can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
Combine Graham Crack Crumbs and Butter and press into a 7×11 inch pan. Sprinkle remaining ingredients into pan in the following order: Chocolate Chips, Walnuts, Coconut. Then pour the can of condensed milk over the entire pan and press all of the ingredients down.
Bake @ 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool and then cut into squares for serving.

This is actually the beginning of a story idea I’ve been tossing around. Still not sure if it will see the light of day, but at least ya’ll can read the first few hundred words.
***
Here I am, sitting in a typical hotel bar. You know the ones. Non-descript curtains line the walls, trying to make patrons feel like they’re in some tropical paradise instead of the local downtown motel. They try to make us forget that tomorrow morning while we’re nursing a hangover that won’t quit, we’ve got to sit through some convention spiel.
I look around the room, taking in those beige tropical curtains and wicker chairs filled with merry drinkers. I feel a little sorry for them. Notice I said little. They have to wake up tomorrow morning to a hangover and I get to wake up to…
Well, as long as this whole thing isn’t a mistake, I’ll wake up a happy woman. That’s why I’m here in this place. I’m hoping that all of the planning and preparation will all be worth while.
The plane tickets, the rental car, the suite in this hotel…they’re all for one purpose. And here I sit.
Watching.
Waiting.
Wondering.
Hoping.
Praying.
And now…now I hope it hadn’t been a mistake. Hope that it all hadn’t been for nothing. I hope that I’m not meeting my death like the cliché dumb blonde that goes down into the basement only to be killed by the axe murderer in every horror flick ever made.
Taking another sip of my apple martini, my liquid courage, my eyes wander to the bar tender wiping down the counter. His eyes wander over my body and I smile. He can look, but touching is reserved for the man I’m meeting.

So, a deadline is fast approaching. On 12/1/07, my editor at Changeling is expecting the full manuscript for my story, Rookery Cove: Nipped. Gah! That’s like two and a half weeks away! So, join me on my push to get it done. I’ve got 3 chapters done at the moment with 7 more to go. At about 2k per chapter, that’s at least 14k more that needs to be written. Now, being the pain in the arse that I am, I’m going to have this baby written by this coming Sunday. Why? Because I’m off from work next week and I’m ready to start a new project. The thing is, I can never start a new project unless I’ve finished with the last one. *snaps fingers* Damn. Yeah, I know.
So, wish me luck! I’ll report in tomorrow and let you know if I managed my 2k today.
